The first two villages are a THREE hour bike ride south of the mother congregation.  Leopold, the church elder, rides out there to teach the catechism and the bible.  I went there to encourage them in the faith. 

The big crowd is another congregation on the northeast side of the city.  It is made up largely of orphans and woman who take care of them.  It was fascinating to me that they sat there for a couple hours asking about the history and teaching of the Lutheran church.  What seemed to interest them most is that I continued to point out the Biblical references on which we base our belief and teaching.
